The furniture brand Zilio A&C will be introducing two new seating designs at Salone del Mobile.Milano in Milan, which will run from April 21st until April 26th. Zilio A&C's products are situated within a stand designed by Mentsen that " reinterprets the convivial atmosphere of Italian trattorias and cafés through a contemporary lens." Within the booth, semicircular fabric curtains create intimate areas and subtly echo the form of the new Cannella armchair.
At Salone del Mobile.Milano, Zilio A&C presents the Cannella — an upholstered armchair designed by Mentsen — and the Aroma Stool, which was designed by Alessandro Stabile as an extension of the existing Aroma collection. These furniture pieces stand out in a setting that evokes everyday places of social interaction. The aesthetic goal is to create a space where quality, simplicity, and hospitality coexist naturally

Trend Themes
-
Socially-inspired Seating — Seating that prioritizes conversational geometry and comfort could redefine communal layouts in public and private environments by blurring boundaries between furniture and social programming.
-
Modular Intimate Spaces — Semi-enclosed, reconfigurable elements such as fabric curtains and curved forms have the potential to create privacy-on-demand within open-plan venues, altering how spaces are allocated and monetized.
-
Hospitality-driven Aesthetic Minimalism — A restrained, hospitality-focused design language emphasizing warmth and simplicity may shift expectations for durable, high-quality furnishings across residential and commercial markets.
Industry Implications
-
Commercial Hospitality — Restaurant and café operators could leverage socially-oriented furniture to transform seating into revenue-generating experiences that reshape guest flow and dwell time.
-
Contract Furniture — Manufacturers and specifiers may find opportunities in producing adaptable, hospitality-grade seating systems that meet both aesthetic and durability demands for large-scale projects.
-
Exhibition and Retail Design — Retailers and exhibition designers could adopt intimate, vignette-style layouts to increase customer engagement and create immersive brand moments within limited footprints.
