Mostly working with coffee producers in Latin America, Acopio is bringing a simplified and effective way for agricultural workers to plan and make more profits. Cooperatives can use technology such as cell phones, tablets and computers in order to take hold of the data and then, of course, make a decision with it along the value change.
More than this, Acopio offers products not only for cooperatives and agricultural businesses that are owned by farmers, but also for financiers and buyers. The idea behind this is to allow for a stronger relationship between producers, financiers and buyers.
Acopio's CEO is Paul Goodman, who has a Bachelor's of Arts in International Affairs from GWU and a Master's of Arts in Information Management from UC-Berkeley.
