The conceptual ACCOMPANYING Wheelchair has been designed by C60Design as a mobility solution that provides a person with an efficient way to get around along with an additional feature for friends, family or caregivers.
The wheelchair is equipped with a sliding seat underneath the main chair section that can be easily slid out when the unit isn't in motion to allow another person to sit. This makes the wheelchair great for enhancing socialization between a wheelchair-reliant person and a caregiver or companion, which makes it particularly relevant for hospitals.
The conceptual ACCOMPANYING Wheelchair was created in partnership with Shenzhen OM Design and maintains a folding construction that would be easy to stow away when not in use.
