reMarkable, the maker of next-generation paper tablets, opened a pop-up store in Oslo and the interior of A Better Place to Think by architecture firm Snøhetta was designed to remind of libraries. The reMarkable pop-up store incorporates cozy elements like divided timber desks, custom oak furniture, leather banquets and domed reading lamps that emit warm light.
The space evokes a sense of contemplation and concentration, which makes the pop-up particularly inviting. As Snøhetta founder Kjetil Trædal Thorsen told Dezeen, In today's fast-paced and digitalised society, finding places for focused thinking can be a challenge."
A Better Place to Think is a pop-up space that conveys the qualities of the brand's tablet spatially, through details big and small, such as the matte finishes that reference the real feeling of using the paper-like digital tablet product.
