Aged Mahua Spirit Releases

South Seas Distilleries Unveiled Its Six Brothers 1922 Resurrection

South Seas Distilleries introduced Six Brothers 1922 Resurrection, a limited-edition matured mahua spirit that draws on the company’s distilling heritage dating back to 1922. Limited to 102 bottles, the release uses mahua spirit aged in oak for decades, positioning the traditional Indian spirit as a premium aged expression.

The distillery also offers Six Brothers Mahura Small Batch, a white mahua spirit made from Madhuca longifolia flowers and double-distilled in large copper pot stills before platinum filtration. South Seas has also expanded its Crazy Cock Indian Single Malt Whisky portfolio with Madhuca editions finished in mahua casks, using the indigenous spirit to influence whisky maturation.

For consumers, the portfolio presents mahua across both collectible and more accessible formats. The releases reflect growing interest in reinterpreting heritage ingredients through premium maturation, contemporary distilling techniques and luxury positioning.
