Hybrid Optical Connectivity Hubs

BluHub by BluHub Combines Blu-ray Burner and Hub

BluHub introduced a 9-in-1 desktop peripheral that pairs a high-capacity Blu-ray burner with modern expansion ports, featuring dual USB-A and USB-C connectors for cross-generation compatibility. The aluminum-bodied unit reads and writes Blu-ray, DVD and CD media, supports BD-R discs up to 100GB and offers both physical and software-based eject controls.

Beyond the optical drive, BluHub includes four USB-A ports, SD and microSD/TF card slots and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 connection rated for up to 10Gbps. The Kickstarter campaign also lists memory card read speeds above 160MB/s and says the device runs entirely on USB bus power. Design details include a hinged lid for holding a spare disc, anti-vibration feet and claimed operating noise below 30dB.

For users with legacy disc archives or occasional offline backup needs, BluHub combines physical media access with modern connectivity in one desktop device, helping bridge older storage formats with current thin laptops and mobile hardware.
