The '79°C' bench has been designed by Nelly Trakidou as a modern piece of furniture for the home that is crafted from an unlikely appliance. Made using an upcycled water heater, the bench is outfitted with curved wooden legs and has been finished with a retro blue color to make it feel retro. Bright yellow cushions have been placed in the two integrated seat sections to offer a pop of additional color and comfort.
The '79°C' bench is durable, has a kitsch sense of style and speaks to the increasing focus on upcycled products as consumers seek out ways to make something new out of discarded items to keep them out of the landfill.
