Custom-Fit 3D-Printed Shoes

Zellerfeld Partners with Volumental's 3D-Printed Footwear Platform

Zellerfeld partnered with Volumental to integrate the company's foot-scanning technology into its custom 3D-printed footwear platform, combining precise digital fit data with on-demand manufacturing. The collaboration includes a strategic investment from Zellerfeld and connects scans from both in-store kiosks and mobile experiences directly to the company's production pipeline.

The combined system uses Volumental's decade of fit technology to capture detailed foot geometry, which Zellerfeld translates into individualized 3D-printed shoes. Zellerfeld also continues to position its platform as a marketplace for designer-created footwear, while Volumental contributes a database of more than 66 million foot scans collected across more than 3,000 retail locations worldwide.

For consumers, the partnership promises shoes produced to the exact contours of each foot rather than standard sizes, improving fit and comfort. The collaboration reflects the growing shift toward scalable, data-driven footwear customization and on-demand manufacturing.
