This 1970s-Inspired Table Design is Making a Modern Comeback

— June 1, 2015 — Art & Design
Carl Hansen & Søn created a modern 1970s-inspired table as a modern take on Hans J. Wegner’s reversible tray table that is sleek and practical. The top of the table pulls double duty as either a coffee table or removable tray. The table top features a handle that aids in the practicality and also adds an interesting design detail.

The 1970s-inspired table has the option of being black or white. The finish of the table can be laminate or veneer depending on preference. Finally, the framing also comes in either a light oak or darker smoked oak finish. The base is a traditional stainless steel that is compatible with any of the available combinations.

The reversible tray is lightweight and is a fun decorative yet practical piece of furniture.
