STUDIOTAMAT Complete the Renovation of a 1960s-Era Residence

— November 9, 2025 — Eco
STUDIOTAMAT has completed a comprehensive architectural renovation of a 1960s-era residence located in the Castelli Romani area near Rome. The project focused on revitalizing the property, which was initially influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright's design principles.

STUDIOTAMAT updated the interior and decor of the 1960s-era residence while maintaining a strong respect for its original character. The redesign involved the removal of several internal partitions to establish a more open and interconnected flow between rooms. This, in turn, enhanced the relationship between the indoor environment and the surrounding natural landscape. Original architectural features — from the stone walls and fireplaces to the woodwork — were preserved and integrated into the new design. The interior furnishings represent a curated mix of restored vintage items and contemporary designer pieces, with custom-built elements such as a kitchen island and various cabinetry tailored to the space.
