As recently as four or five decades ago, it was extremely difficult and practically impossible to find sports accessories for girls as it was largely believed that sports and physical activity were the domain of boys alone. Thankfully however, there is a greater appreciation these days of the beneficial role sports can play in the lives of all young people regardless of gender.
These days, sports accessory manufacturers are putting significant time and effort into developing sports accessories designed for girls' specific needs. Girls' bodies and movements are unique, and necessitate the design of shoes, apparel and accessories that complement their unique features and challenges.
There are practically no sports out there that are still the sole preserve of boys, therefore it's unsurprising that there are lots of sports accessories available on the market for girls of all ages.
