Conceived by designer Marcel Wanders, the Alcantara Pool Table is invitingly tactile since he has used the soft material made by the company all over the table, not just the cue. Interestingly enough, Wanders states, "I have always wanted to make my own pool table and when this project came along immediately I knew I had to do it."
The Alcantara Pool Table has debuted as part of the Can You Imagine project, a collaboration between Maxxi Museum and Alcantara.
