There are plenty of small-scale eco vehicles that have been specifically designed for use in the city, but they are now being given ultra-specific jobs. For instance, the New York Police Department is now employing a fleet of Smart Fortwos for meter enforcement, while the Amber One is a vehicle that's meant for shared use rather than individual ownership.
One of the most notable eco car designs is the Sion from Sono Motors, which was branded as an "affordable solar car for everyone" as part of its successful crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo.
