From Symphony Pop Hits to Tweenage Heartthrob Competitions

These Boy Band-inspired products range from the old school boy bands that set the tone for pop music (New Kids on the Block) and the newest, latest set (One Direction). While boy bands have traditionally gotten to the tweenage and young adult crowd, they are proving to be surprisingly versatile and long-lasting in terms of popularity.
The nostalgic former boy bands like New Kids on the Block, Backstreet Boys and more are still kicking around. Others, like N*Sync and O-Town, have sadly departed. In the case of N*Sync, the group may be gone, but lead singer Justin Timberlake has hardly gone the way of most other obscure boy band fronts.
With the recent craze surrounding One Direction, it would seem that Boy Band-inspired music is making a definitive comeback.
