This list of architecturally inclined social businesses include companies that pay attention the surface of things. In France, Acta Vista is a social enterprise that offers training programs that have in the past included stone masonry, stone carving, carpentry and eco-building. In the United States, there's Optico, a certified B Corporation that has been around for a while. "Blending the best from the past with the most innovative ideas of the present, our multidisciplinary approach results in state-of-the-art projects that are contextually rich, architecturally solid, and aesthetically appealing," the Optico website says.
