1980's fashion is at once brutal and beautiful. There are shining moments, like Members Only jackets, Madonna's "Like a Virgin" look and fierce fitness outfits. There are also some looks that are a bit more laughable; thankfully, however, most of these 1980's fashions have stayed in the past.
We've featured a number of 1980's-inspired fashions, from shoulder pads and angular jackets to retro sunglasses. Check out some of my favorite style revivals below.
Implications - Recycling trends is a crucial aspect of the multi-billion dollar fashion industry as well as a variety of other industries. Reviving and reinventing something that was once popular and making it seem interesting and fresh is a unique and complex cycle that allows companies to look to the past in order to progress in the future.
