The Xiaomi YU7 True Standard Edition is the brand's latest addition to its vehicle range that takes aim at the competition to wide the gap between brands and position it as the higher value option.
The vehicle follows on the aesthetic and feel of the original YU7, but keeps things simple with a rear-wheel-drive, single-motor setup that will produce 235kW. The vehicle is paired with a CATL-supplied lithium iron phosphate battery and rated to offer up to 399-miles of range. These features combine with a price point that puts it 30,000 yuan (~$4,350) less than a standard Tesla Model Y.
