Taylor’s Port Introduced a New Bottle Format

Taylor’s Port has announced its newest packaging innovation that will be rolling out across the wine brand's entire lineup to prioritize a long-term commitment to quality, craftsmanship and sustainability. The bottle maintains the same silhouette as the original with an embossed coat of arms, but sees it reduced in weight to 440-grams down from 580-grams for a roughly 24% reduction. The packaging change will thus reportedly save roughly 350 tonnes of glass every year and also reduce CO₂ emissions by 210 tonnes, while also increasing additional efficiencies throughout the supply chain on a global level.

Managing Director of Taylor's Adrian Bridge spoke on the Taylor’s Port packaging updates saying, "Taylor’s has always believed that true progress comes through thoughtful evolution rather than change for its own sake. The new bottle respects our heritage while looking confidently to the future. It demonstrates that meaningful environmental improvements can be achieved without compromising the quality, elegance and identity that have defined Taylor’s for more than three centuries."
