FOG Architecture Designs Super Seed's Retail Store

A series of futuristic retail kinetic displays were designed by Chinese studio FOG Architecture for the skincare brand Super Seed's retail store. The shop is located in Hangzhou, China.

The interior of Super Seed's latest location is compromised of "168 kinetic semitransparent acrylic boxes." These pieces are mounted on walls, hanging from the ceilings, or positioned on the floor of the shop. The idea behind this was to create a variety of ways in which Super Seed can display its products. The boxes are movable (by an electric motor) and modular.

According to FOG Architecture, the retail kinetic display revolutionizes how consumers experience retail. The firm stated that "this novel installation redefines the formal expression of the functionality of shelves, producing a unique spatial experience."
