Panoramic Namibian Abodes

This Renovated Mountainside House is Rustic and Chic

This gorgeously renovated mountainside house in Klein Windhoek, Namibia was designed with the surrounding nature in mind. Taking on the landscape all around the space for inspiration, Wasserfall Munting Architects reinterpreted the 1950s house to reconnect with the surrounding serene oasis of indigenous acacia trees.

With a rusty Mica stone wall exterior and cozy colorful interior, this renovated mountainside house is a perfect blend between modern and traditional.

"The double-volume living area with its butterfly roof and clerestory windows to the south is the heart of the house: oversized glazed sliding doors afford a seamless connection to a large terraced patio overlooking the garden and affording panoramic views," says the design team at Wasserfall Munting Architects.
