Taking on the landscape all around the space for inspiration, Wasserfall Munting Architects reinterpreted the 1950s house to reconnect with the surrounding serene oasis of indigenous acacia trees.
With a rusty Mica stone wall exterior and cozy colorful interior, this renovated mountainside house is a perfect blend between modern and traditional.
"The double-volume living area with its butterfly roof and clerestory windows to the south is the heart of the house: oversized glazed sliding doors afford a seamless connection to a large terraced patio overlooking the garden and affording panoramic views," says the design team at Wasserfall Munting Architects.
