Local design space West | Out East hosts a special showroom for Italian furniture brand Porro in New York City. It is designed by West Chin Architects and Interior Designs. This is the first dedicated showroom in America and this marks a special milestone that simultaneously celebrates its 100th anniversary. It is designed to resemble a grand house with living and dining spaces as well as a home working area.
Architect Piero Lissoni, who also heads the art direction at Porro since 1989 speaks more about the project, noting "Porro returns as a protagonist in New York, opening in Madison, one of the city's most vibrant areas. We return in style, showcasing the Porro house and renewing this important dialogue between America and Italy." Head of Marketing, Maria Porro adds, "This special space in New York allows you to immerse yourself in our idea of design."
