In a world where recipes are often guarded industry secrets, Heura extended an invitation to share its new plant-based frankfurter formula with leading brands to support a healthier people and planet by shifting away from meat.
In an open letter, Marc Coloma, co-founder and CEO of Heura, challenged other companies to take meaningful action and join the movement toward greater collective impact. A portion of the letter read: "We know that making a delicious and healthy frankfurter sounds impossible. That’s why we’ve done the hard part. And now we want to give you the recipe for free. We only ask one thing in return: that you stop producing the ones from the past."
The plant-based frankfurter uses ingredients like soy protein, extra virgin olive oil, and spices, containing 18 times fewer saturated fats, zero cholesterol, and nearly double the protein of its animal-based counterparts.
