Fuller/Overby Architecture Designs the Nebo House

Fuller/Overby Architecture designs a modern home located in the rugged Appalachian foothills of North Carolina dubbed the Nebo House. It is heavily inspired by the elements of nature and rests on a long lakeside lot that has a sloped base. At a glance, the home looks like a series of small pavilions that follow the natural contours of the hill.

The home keeps the walls that traverse the diagonal shape of the incline. At the exterior design, it is clad with dark charred cypress which is purposefully chosen to have a cohesive blend with the trees that surround the home, enhancing the unification of its nature inspiration. It is home to a retired couple with an extended family, enjoying private and public spaces for gatherings.
