MARDI Designs the MOT.22 Home in France's Cap Ferret

French design studio MARDI presents the new MOT.22, which is a bright home that rests along the southwestern coastal enclave of Cap Ferret in France. MOT.22 is a cabin with a wooden design that rests behind a narrow strip of land that is within the lush green environment of the Arcachon Basin.

Overall, it has a more harmonious design language that fuses elements of modern design with traditional craftsmanship. The serene home has a relaxing design language with maritime pine wood that is complemented by an exposed timber frame. Lead architect of the project, Maxime Donnat notes "We wanted to revisit this subject, also drawing inspiration from some traditional Japanese architectures with a well-marked facade."
