Whittaker Parsons Unveils a New Mews House in Stoke Newington

Architecture studio Whittaker Parsons unveils a new story that has been added to a modern mews house located in North London's Stoke Newington. The new addition is to function as a bedroom suite following the original construction in 2005. The building is defined by a blend of copper, structural insulated panels, and larch.

The home houses a couple that has two older children and has been there for the past decade. The family tapped the studio to add a loft and create more space as well as remodel the lower floors. Whittaker Parsons speaks about the design project to Dezeen, noting that "We set out to design a beautiful, healthy, serene retreat, in which the homeowners could immerse themselves in the beauty of natural materials, a bolthole in the middle of north London."
