The cabin is an angular black structure that rests within trees and merges right into the natural landscape that it is surrounded by. It is defined by a large living space and has a steel sloping roof, and invites light with the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Patrick speaks about the cabin, stating that it is "A stunning 40-minute ferry ride from West Vancouver, the home is close to the city but feels like a world away. Our intention was to create a world that we could retreat to, with rules that are different from everyday life. The architecture and the landscape were to be combined in a way that lets a visitor feel natural, unpretentious, unburdened, free."
