The Goldie essentially offers a solution for the need for consistency in keeping their starter healthy and active to use.
To activate it, users are to switch it on and then place the starter jar inside the clear dome, which is made to be draft-free and warm. It maintains a temperature of 75-82ºF, which is dubbed the Goldilocks Zone. The Goldie device fosters the environment that optimizes yeast and bacteria to be at their most active state to ensure the most consistent fermentation and flavor development.
