Solidnature Displays Its Material Prowess with a New Exhibit

This dreamscape exhibit is called Beyond the Surface and individuals can go visit it in the Brera Design District from April 17th to April 23rd during Milan Design Week. The immersive experience showcases the material prowess and potential of the Dutch material brand SolidNature which worked alongside OMA architects Ellen Van Loon and Giulio Margheri to realize this vision.

The dreamscape exhibit provokes curiosity with a variety of textures, colors, and design decisions. Stone is a key material for Beyond the Surface as the OMA architects sought to evoke "nature's power" and "push the limits of creativity." The dreamscape exhibit spreads across seven different rooms, each outlining a particular stage for stone as material—" from its geological earth formation to the high-tech finishing techniques and machinery used today." Because of this, time was also a central theme for the dreamscape exhibit.
