Funded by Big Lottery, Arts Council England among others Creative Common is a performance venue in Bristol that brings people together through art and socialization. Past events in 2012 have included The Happiness Machine, Encounters Festival - Focus on Finland, Bristol Reggae Explosion Live and Pirates of the Carabina Present Flown.
The business model focuses on local enterprises and partnerships with charities, volunteers, businesses and organizations to show the community's talent through collaboration. "It’s a space packed full of personality and perfect for creative, business and private events," writes the initiative on its website. "So far, a disused car park behind Temple Meads has been transformed with a full-size circus Big Top, with studios made from recycled shipping containers and much, much more arriving over the next year." The team, as well as those who attend the events, can sense the excitement to see what's next.
