This Kolsch Beer Helps Raise Funds For Brain Cancer Research

Oak Road Brewery, a Summerville, South Carolina-based craft brewery that has gained much acclaim for its selection of deliciously approachable German-inspired beers, has teamed up with the StacheStrong non-profit organization in order to release a special-edition kolsch beer that is helping to raise money for brain cancer research.

The 'Aphrodite' honey lemon Kolsch beer was offered for sale during the month of May with the goal of helping to raise funds for brain cancer research, which is the key mission of StacheStrong.

The beer itself comes in at six percent ABV and is designed to be an accessible sipper with a clean texture and an all-round approachable character. Delicious as the beer undeniably is, the more praise-worthy element of its release is the mission that it contributes too, one that Oak Road Brewery co-owners say they have been personally affected by. "Brain cancer has impacted those close to our family and it’s an honor to brew Aphrodite, alongside my wife, Erin Cox, in honor of our friend who lost his life to this incredibly difficult disease," stated co-owner Brian Cox.
