Montreal-based interior design firm Imperatori Design has completed the BDC Conference Centre — a large-scale, flexible environment within BDC's offices. This project is intended to address the critical need for dynamic gathering spaces following the gradual return of employees to the workplace.
Imperatori Design transforms BDC's corporate identity through a more vibrant and experiential lens, anchored by a striking central hub that features lounge areas, a coffee counter, and collaboration booths. All interiors are finished with warm tones, rich material contrasts, and greenery. Surrounding this hub are adaptable boardrooms equipped with movable walls, modular furniture, advanced video conferencing technology, and high-performance acoustics. A contrasting signature maple-clad volume houses permanent meeting rooms, each with its own identity. The BDC Conference Centre also incorporates informal breakout areas and a dynamic entrance tunnel defined by colored fluted glass and a bronze reflective ceiling.
