Top 100 Watches Trends in 2023

From Greek Mythology Smartwatches to Ocean-Bound Plastic Timepieces:

The watches trends in 2023 include innovations in sustainability, design, production quality, and social change. The affordable and luxury timepiece industry are often thought of as consumerist or profit-focused. As a result, many brands have launched products and campaigns focused on environmentalism and social good this year.

One such example is the Reclaimed Ocean Plastic Watch from Timex. This timepiece, as the name suggests, is made from ocean-bound plastics collected by fishermen from the coastlines. These plastics are used in the case and frame, but not in the mechanical components or in the wrist strap. The reclaimed ocean plastics lend a unique design to the case with a black base and speckled dots, evident of the impurities in reclaimed plastic.

The 'AVI-4103 Flyboy' timepiece from the independent company AVI-8 is a social good-focused timepiece developed in partnership with a nonprofit organization. This timepiece intends to fund the Tuskegee Arimen Inc., the nonprofit in question, in its mission to promote aviation careers to youth in disadvantaged communities. A portion of all proceeds gained from this timepiece will support this cause, offering consumers a way to support a good cause while receiving an excellently-crafted watch in return.
