Sleek Dimensional Timepieces

Grand Seiko Launches Two New 44GS Grammar of Design Watches

Grand Seiko unveils a new exclusive limited-edition Grammar of Design timepieces in the form of the 44GS with references to its previous Heritage collection. It is exclusive to the European market and the Japanese watch brand marks the names of the designs on the silhouette.

Both of the watches are made with the overarching mantra in mind and according to the watchmaker, the Grammar of Design is comprised of three main principles. These are “The design should have flat surfaces and two-dimensional curves. Three-dimensional curves are generally not utilized;” “The flat surfaces of the case, dial and hands should be as wide as possible;” and “Every surface should be distortion-free and have a mirror surface.”
