From Experiential Beer Lounges to VR Painting Experiences

From branded VR experiences to immersive recreations of television series sets, ta number 2016 SXSW Interactive ideas stick out as important implications for the year ahead for marketing and advertising.

In order to promote the upcoming second season of the series Mr Robot, the USA Network reconstructed much of the story's Coney Island world. The Mr Robot experience at South by Southwest 2016 included a 100-foot ferris wheel and a replica of the show's F Society hacker den for fans of the show to explore and enjoy.

Separately, the Budweiser Beer Garage was an innovative brand lounge that incorporated multi-sensory elements for its VR experience. The Anheuser-Busch brand activation invited attendees to take a 4-D tour of the Budweiser brewery in St Louis by smelling real ingredients and enjoying a real beer during the experience.
