In comparison to permanent conventional cafes, these unconventional pop-up cafes permit patrons to have a lot more fun. While some cafes allow consumers to pay for coffee and light refreshments with something other than money, other pop-ups are geared towards introducing a new product or raising money for a cause.

Perhaps one of the most unusual pop-up cafes of all was the 'Natural Bliss Cafe' used to launch Nestlé's Natural Bliss Coffee-Mate. At this cafe, bodypainted baristas served patrons reflect the "surprisingly natural" ingredients of its product.

While caffeine is typically involved in a cafe setting, Swiss Water recently set up another example of an unconventional pop-up, for the purpose of exploring decaf coffee beverages and reversing some of the assumptions about drinking caffeineless coffee.
