In order to mark Mother's Day this year, brands are stepping up with fun incentives and product inventions for moms and their young or adult kids to enjoy. Some of these fun initiatives include mom-and-child dinner events, cooking classes, crafting sessions and even scavenger hunts, which encourage bonding over an activity.

New products that were created in honor of Mother's Day this year include the KD8 Floral EXT Edition sneaker from Nike, personalized holiday-themed jars from Marmite and a chicken bucket from KFC that can be used to record a heartfelt message to mom. As Mother's Day gifts, these items make fantastic collectible keepsakes that will forever hold sentimental value.

One of the most outrageous examples of Mother's Day marketing from this year includes a stunt from Groupon, which promises to create a 3D-printed replica of a person for a payment of $30,000.
