While the August 2016 mobile app trends reveal a clear focus on Pokémon GO-related services, there is also a growing demand for other types of mobile games that combine entertainment with an educational component.

In lights of the recent success of Pokémon GO, there have been a number of secondary apps developed to asset gamers. This includes digital maps that help users find the best and highest ranking Pokémon, as well as services that employ professional walkers to catch Pokémon for other users. There is even a new dating app that helps Pokémon GO users find romance with other players.

While it may seem as though Pokémon GO-related applications have come to dominate mobile technology, the August 2016 mobile app trends reveal there is still a growing demand for other types of smartphone games. For instance, there are a number of youth-focused apps that use games to teach children how to code. There are also Islamic storytelling apps that help children enjoy religious tales in both English and Arabic.
