The 'DatePlay' app uses interactive games to try to understand the user's personalty before recommending potential matches. Vana Koutsomitis is the founder of the app and wanted to add games into the interface to engage users for longer periods of time compared to the other dating apps on the market.

DatePlay users will have to take a quick personality game before they're able to find any matches on the app. The "Buzzfeed-style quiz" is to determine the user's personality traits before providing matches based on personality for the user to swipe left or right on. The app also lists a compatibility component when it provides a match for users. The app is specifically targeted at the 18 to 24 year old age group of Millennials.
