Zeitgeist Coffee Factory, a specialty coffee roastery and cafe located in Seattle, unveiled its latest packaging style for its CPG coffee lineup. The beans are sold in durable aluminum packages that not only convey the high quality of Zeitgeist Coffee, but also ensure the beans are protected and kept fresh for long periods of time.

The aluminum tins feature a small opening with a one-way valve. This valve allows the coffee beans to de-gas without taking oxygen into the can, ensuring that the beans stay fresh while maintaining their rich taste, as a full aerated design would quicken the staling process of the beans.

One added benefit of the aluminum packaging is its recyclability, as many major cities can recycle aluminum cans as part of their regular recycling programs, meaning this packaging solution is not only durable and functional, but sustainable as well.
