Most of Ford's production robots spend the entirety of their careers in the manufacturing facility where they work, but one robot named 'Yumi' got the chance to shine in front of an audience. Straying outside of its typically assigned duties of assembling cars, Yumi got to spin a DJ set during the auto company's release party for the 2018 Ford Fiesta.
The 2018 Fiesta release party took place in a warehouse-turned-club in Germany, a country known for its underground dance parties. But while the beats are usually electronic, it isn't often that the DJ is. To be sure, Yumi didn't handle the music entire on its own -- the robot was accompanied by a human DJ, and the two took turns scratching records.
