Rentable YouTube

Rent Full-Length Sundance Film Festival Flicks Online

YouTube struck an agreement with the Sundance Film Festival to offer movies for rent from now until January 31, 2010. This may not seem like such an epic announcement considering you can usually enjoy movies on YouTube via a series of imperfect sections (‘Swingers’ parts 1-8 with the 4th and 7th installments missing, anyone?). However, this is perhaps the first step in YouTube taking over the rentable movie biz.

So Netflix, begin crying. And iTunes, well, just keep counting your money. As for you, check out more on the YouTube and Sundance Film Festival announcement, here.
