In what could be a revolution for the little guy, YouTube is considering paying popular video producers for their uploads. This has the potential to change the source of our entertainment. As soon as one of these producers creates the next "Friends" or "Seinfeld", lookout corporate television. Now with the lure of money, it's only a matter of when.

Implications - YouTube is popular now, but if a hit series started to become available for free, people are going to go wild with excitement. If more people start watching television on the Internet who knows what will happen to real television? Knowing that they can make money off of YouTube, producers will surely be trying to create unique new shows that will gain a wide audience.
