Designer Retrospectives

The Yohji Yamamoto Exhibit Provides a Closer Insight into His Work

The V & A Museum in London recently opened up the Yohji Yamamoto exhibit to showcase a history of the fashion designer's work during his years in the business.

The Yohji Yamamoto exhibit explores the influential designer's career and history. The display showcases some of his finest clothes from the last 30 years with more than 80 garments on mannequins for the crowd to admire. In addition to Yamamoto's clothing designs, the exhibit also displays movies featuring excerpts from his fashion shows, films, and some of the key collaborations he's been involved in. The exhibition itself was designed by his long-time collaborator Masao Nihei.

The Yohji Yamamoto exhibition is currently open to an audience. The exhibition will run till July 10th, 2011.
