Single Material Minimal Chairs

Ford Bostwick Presents the X_x_X Solo Exhibition of Chairs

Ford Bostwick presents a look at the debut solo exhibition show dubbed 'X_x_X,' which was recently showcased at the B.Y.B STUDIO design gallery. It highlights four chair designs -- every single piece is made from a single material at the same scale. The namesake celebrates the cross-section of materials in the shape of a square measuring 1x1 inch to 4x4 inches in the beams.

Bostwick speaks about the design, stating, “Rather than a typical line where a family of furniture shares a material or visual logic, X_x_X takes one parameter and explores it across scale and material in chairs. I’ll expand the series to incorporate larger and smaller parts, different materials, and other types of furniture over time.”
