Sophisticated Chair Designs

Ida Linea Hildebrand Designs the FF Chair Collection

The FF Chair Collection, created by designer Ida Linea Hildebrand, represents a series of seating solutions that integrate a distinctly modernist visual language with principles of sustainable design.

The FF Chair Collection's aesthetic draws clear inspiration from the geometric forms and functional clarity of historical Bauhaus movements. The capsule includes the FF Swivel Chair, the FF Cantilever Chair, and the FF Chair. The pieces, for example, utilize tubular steel structures that are manufactured within Northern Europe.

The primary innovation of the series lies not in its appearance but in its engineered approach to the product lifecycle. The construction separates the durable metal frame, which is intended for extended use exceeding ten years, from the Friends & Founders-branded upholstered elements, which are designed for straightforward detachment and eventual recycling. This modularity allows for the fabric or leather components to be replaced independently, thereby updating the chair's look or repairing wear without necessitating the disposal or reproduction of the entire object.
