Xiaomi Launches AR Glasses to Compete with Apple's AR Headset

Xiaomi has announced its ‘Wireless AR Glass Discovery Edition’ augmented/mixed reality headset. The MicroOLED displays in Xiaomi's AR glasses are "retina-level" with an "industry-leading" pixel-per-degree density of 58. They include a Snapdragon XR2 Gen 1 processor and gesture control, so you can use your fingers to operate them. Through Snapdragon technology, Xiaomi’s headset allows you to select and open apps, swipe through pages, and exit apps with the motion of your hands.

To function, the Xiaomi AR glasses must be paired with either a Xiaomi 13 phone or another Snapdragon Spaces-capable smartphone. The headset uses magnesium-lithium alloy and carbon fiber for its construction, giving the device a total weight of 128 grams. Despite being smaller than the current VR headsets on the market, the Xiaomi 'Wireless AR Glass' is quite large on the face.
