The 'X-Space' window offers inhabitants a personal fireproof space in the event of an emergency.
After the tragedy that occurred at the Grenfell tower in London, designers and architects have been fiercely developing ways in which living spaces can be altered to heighten families' chances of survival. The X-Space serves as a window when not in use, but when it's opened up, provides a personal fireproof space that protects those inside. The X-Space features a lever on the outside, providing the fire department with a point of entry, and will even notify emergency services when the hatch has been released, making for an quicker rescue.
The X-Space is lightweight and can hold the weight of two adults, or one adult and two children.
