Universal's Island of Adventure Announced a New Harry Potter Ride

Universal's Island of Adventure recently announced its intention to build a new wizard-themed thrill ride at 'The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.' This new ride is slated to be "the next-generation of thrill ride" and will have riders encounter their favorite Harry Potter characters throughout the experience. The ride is said to be family-friendly, so it likely won't scare young kids, but Universal will be collaborating with Warner Bros. (as it has in the past) so that fans can expect the most authentic Harry Potter experience possible.

According to Universal's press release, "This ride is going to redefine the category and transport you to thrilling places, drawing you into even more exciting adventures within the wizarding world. It’s going to be the perfect addition to Hogsmeade."

With the announcement of the new wizard-themed thrill ride comes the news that the park will be closing its 'Dragon Challenge' roller coaster.
