Founded by Andy Wood and Patrick Bradley, two executives from the creative industries and venture capital funding, have announced the launch of WiSE -- a growth-stage venture capital fund focusing on Metaverse developments.
With its launch, WiSE joins many other recent startup investment funds that have identified the Metaverse as an area of major value. For Wood, the Metaverse represents the future of social media and entertainment: “The Metaverse is an omnipresent online and digital world. It is the natural evolution of the Internet" he explains.
Both partners predict that the Metaverse economy will be worth "trillions of dollars" in the near future, which is why WiSE has already begun investing in Metaverse games, NFTS, animation, and 3D spatial sound, and interactive storytelling.
