'Thirdverse' Raised $15 Million to Develop Web3 and Metaverse Titles

'Thirdverse' is a Tokyo, Japan-based game development studio with four upcoming game titles. The company recently raised $15 million USD to accelerate the development of its Web3 and VR-focused titles, effectively transitioning into a dedicated metaverse and blockchain development company.

The developer stated it will use this funding to acquire key talent, strengthening its employee base of developers, game creators, and other related professionals. The CEO of Thirdverse, Hironao Kunimitsu, stated: “After significant growth in the past year, and with many projects in development and about to start development, we’re proud to enter a new stage of more accelerated growth for Thirdverse.”

The titles Kunimitsu is referring to include the 'Swords of Gargantua,' 'Altair Breaker,' and 'X8' VR games, as well as the 'Captain Tsubasa -Rivals-' blockchain-based game.
